The Tail of the Dragon

Back on March 30, 2009, Donna and I rode up to Deal’s Gap and rode the famous (if you’re a motorcyclist) Tail of the Dragon.  The Tail of the Dragon is section of US Highway 129 in NC & TN that has 318 curves in 11 miles.  Here on my space there’s a photo album of pictures that Donna shot from the back of the motorcycle and a few while we were walking around.  I’ve also embedded a video she shot with a small handheld HD video camera.  It’s a little jerky but not too bad for her first attempt.  She was moving the camera from side to side because while holding it she also wanted to see what was going on.
