A Ride And A Building In Two States

My Blue Knights Chapter had one of its weekday rides today.  The weekday rides have become a bit popular.  You see, the Blue Knights is an international motorcycle club composed of current and retired law enforcement officers so not everybody, in fact most current officers work on the weekends and are off during the week.  But on to the ride.

One of our members, Rob tried his hand at planning and leading his first ride.  We met in Cumming, Ga and the six of us headed up through Dahlonega and then up Blood Mountain (US Hwy 129) towards Blairsville, Ga.  Our destination today was McCaysville, Georgia where we were going to have lunch.  Rob did a great job on his first effort.  McCaysville is right on the state line between Georgia and Tennessee.  The next town up the road is Copper Hill, Tennessee.  The towns are so close that the state line goes diagonally through a building with part of it being in Georgia and part in Tennessee.  There’s even a bar in part of the building that has the blue state line painted across the floor.

The State Line goes through the building diagonally.
