We were supposed to meet friends of ours, Sean & Christine for a ride today. Donna wasn’t feeling well so she sent me to ride solo. That doesn’t happen very often at all. The three of took a short ride on up to Turner’s Corner Café for lunch and then headed home through Cleveland, Dahlonega and Dawsonsville. The day started out nice and sunny but turned gray and overcast before we got to lunch. I love the retractable sunshield in my helmet on days like this! I surprised we didn’t see a lot more motorcycles out than we did. It wasn’t like it was cold or rainy. Sean and I even considered taking the liners out of our jackets.
But one thing we all noticed was the house between Dawsonville and Dahlonega that already had it’s Christmas light display put up, and quite a large one at that. It’s not even Thanksgiving yet! In fact it’s only November 11th, Veteran’s Day.
